Being one of the oldest spices in history, it has been known to help with the onset of a cold/flu, it is a good source of fiber, calcium, iron, manganese, as well as helping to control blood sugar and being an anti-microbial!
Cinnamon Banana Smoothie!
Ingredients:
1/3 cup almonds, soaked for 8 hours, rinse well
2 bananas
1/4 cup dates, pitted
1 teaspoon cinnamon
2 cups water
Directions:
Place all ingredients in your blender. Blend until smooth.
Serving suggestion: add 1 cup of ice and blend 10 seconds just before serving. Yum!
