Whole-Wheat Cinnamon Bread (for Bread Machine) from 100 Day of Real Food.

I made this recipe and just had to share it. What a great way for our kids (or ourselves) to wake up on a hurry scurry kind-of-morning…fresh baked cinnamon bread. Come On! How good does that sound? Or that wonderful housewarming smell?

I adore the whole wheat and honey for the sweetener and it’s super nutritious! This is perfect to grab when the kids are heading out the door or having a fresh-baked piece of warm whole wheat bread in the morning. What a way to kick-start those brain cells!

This Is Our Cinnamon Bread!

Ingredients:

3 cups whole-wheat flour

2 teaspoons cinnamon

½ teaspoon salt

1 cup warm water (I heat it in glass measuring cup in microwave for 1 minute)

½ cup oil (I used coconut oil)

4 tablespoons honey

2 teaspoons yeast

1 cup raisins (our kids do not like raisins in their bread, so I omitted them and added 1/4 C of extra water/milk)

Directions:

Follow your bread machine’s directions for making a whole-wheat raisin loaf.

My machine says liquids first, then dry ingredients and yeast on top. Check your instruction manual*

…and now sit back. Relax. And savor the aroma of freshly baked cinnamon bread.
